If you have already installed your device, the quickest way to find the serial number is in the tadoº app.

For both tadoº X and V3+ or older devices, you can also find the serial number and QR code printed on the device.

In the app:

Go to Settings > Rooms & Devices. The serial number appears just below the device name on the list. Tap on the device to enter the device screen, where you can use the copy function.

On the device:

tado° X devices

All the information you need to register your tado° devices is directly on them: serial number, auth code, and QR code.

Bridge X

You can find the registration details on the bottom of the device.

Wireless Temperature Sensor X

Remove the cover of your Wireless Temperature Sensor X to find the registration details on the back of the device.

Wired Smart Thermostat X

Remove the cover of your Wired Smart Thermostat X to find the registration details on the back of the device.

Smart Radiator Thermostat X

For Smart Radiator Thermostat X, you can view the registration details in the following two ways:

1. If you switch on the display by rotating the dial, you will get registration details displayed. In case you activate for the first time, you need to select the language and screen orientation previously.

Please note: This information is only displayed if the device has not yet been commissioned to a thread network.

2. Remove the battery pack from the base of your Smart Radiator Thermostat X to find the registration details on the underside of the device.

Wireless Receiver X

Remove the cover of the Wireless Receiver X to find the registration details on the front of the device.

You can find the registration details on the back of the device.

tado° V3+ and previous devices

All the information you need to register your tado° devices is printed directly on them: serial number, auth code, and QR code.

Save a hard copy

These tado° devices come with:

a removable sticker containing their registration information, and
a guide booklet (only for Starter Kits).

Paste the device stickers in the booklet. Then, write the name of the relevant room in your tado° Home below, for future reference.

Internet Bridge

You can find the registration details on the back of the device.

Wireless Temperature Sensor

Remove the cover of your Wireless Temperature Sensor to find the registration details on the back of the device.

Smart Thermostat

Remove the cover of your Smart Thermostat to find the registration details on the back of the device. Some Smart Thermostat models have a screw on the bottom edge. So you’ll need to use a screwdriver to open the device.

Smart Radiator Thermostat

Remove the mounting bracket from your Smart Radiator Thermostat to find the registration details on the body of the device.

Wireless Receiver

Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw from the bottom edge of your Wireless Receiver. Then, remove the cover to find the serial number on the back of the device.
