Use Blink Display to quickly identify a specific tado° device and make sure you’re interacting with the right one.
How to use Blink Display?
To use Blink Display, follow these steps:
Open the tado° app.
Go to Settings > Rooms & Devices.
Select the device you want to identify.
At the top, select Blink Display.
This setting is available for both V3+ and X tado° devices (1st and 2nd gen).
How will my tado° device respond?
The response depends on the device.
Devices that display “Hi!”
These devices will wake up and display “Hi!”:
tado° V3+
Smart Thermostat V3+
Wireless Temperature Sensor V3+
Smart Radiator Thermostat V3+
tado° X (1st gen)
Smart Thermostat X
Wireless Temperature Sensor X

These devices will wake up and blink all their LEDs:

This makes it easy to identify the device you’ve selected in the tado° app.
