What do the LEDs and blinking states on the Wireless Receiver mean?

There are two versions of the Wireless Receiver covered here:

  • The Wireless Receiver - Programmer with Hot Water Control (UK)

  • The Wireless Receiver (EU)

The Wireless Receiver - Programmer with Hot Water Control (UK)

OFF

The Wireless Receiver is not supplied with power

Power Supply but not paired

The Wireless Receiver is supplied with power but not paired yet.

Pairing

The Wireless Receiver is in pairing mode indicated by the blinking connection LED

Normal function

When tado° is requesting heat or hot water, the heating/hot water LED will be solid on. When off, tado° is not requesting heat/hot water.

The Wireless Receiver (EU)

OFF

The Wireless Receiver is not supplied with power

Power Supply but not paired

The Wireless Receiver is supplied with power but not paired yet.

Pairing

The Wireless Receiver is in pairing mode indicated by the blinking pairing LED

Normal function

When tado° is requesting heat, the heat request LED will be solid on (for relay systems) or slowly fading in and out (for digital and analog systems). When off, tado° is not requesting heat.
