In most cases, heating systems react without any delay to commands given or changes made via the tado° devices or app.
However, if multiple changes are made in a short period of time, in some heating systems, the reaction time that the boiler takes to respond to a tado° command can be up to five minutes. This time delay is a safety mechanism to ensure the efficiency of your heating system. The delay ensures that the boiler gets enough time to heat up and cool down correctly before it is turned on or off by tado°. It also prevents the boiler from being turned on and off too often within a short period of time.
For the same reason, in heating systems with zone valves, the reaction time can be a bit longer than five minutes as motorized valves need time to open and close fully.
