Radiator heating system controlled by a central thermostat

A boiler usually supplies heating for the radiators and is controlled by a central room thermostat. The heating can also be supplied through central or district heating instead.

Underfloor heating system controlled by multiple room thermostats

This system is usually controlled by a room thermostat for each room and supplied by one central boiler, or district heating.

Radiator heating system without a central thermostat

This system is usually supplied by central or district heating but the resident has no access to the boiler. The radiators are controlled by radiator thermostats.
