If you live in a home without access to the boiler, you can install tado° Smart Radiator Thermostats. They work with most thermostatic radiator valves, allowing you to control the temperature in each room.
For a more accurate temperature measurement, you can add Wireless Temperature Sensors to your setup.
You’ll need the following tado° devices:
1x Starter Kit - Smart Radiator Thermostat or 1x Starter Kit - Smart Radiator Thermostat Basic (includes Smart Radiator Thermostat and Internet Bridge)
Add-on - Smart Radiator Thermostats for every room
You can control these heating systems with one of the following setups:
1. Smart Radiator Thermostats are installed on all radiators in all commonly used rooms (recommended)
If you install Smart Radiator Thermostats on all radiators in a room, they heat that room together. Only one of the Smart Radiator Thermostats measures the temperature. For a more accurate reading of the temperature, you can add a Wireless Temperature Sensor.
2. Smart Radiator Thermostats are installed on some radiators in the rooms
You can install Smart Radiator Thermostats only on some radiators in a room. In this case, you have to control the remaining conventional ones manually, as before. We recommend that you set these to frost protection to allow tado° to accurately heat the room.
