If your boiler displays an error code once you've wired tado° devices to it, it’s usually because these devices are not configured correctly yet.
Here’s what you can do to fix this:
Complete all the installation steps
Make sure you've followed every step in the tado° app’s installation instructions. You’ll then receive a message confirming that you've finished your installation.
2. Reset your boiler
If you’ve completed the installation and the error persists, switch the boiler off and on to reset it.
3. Use the tado° chatbot for help
If the error code still appears, select the round orange icon in the bottom right-hand corner to open a chat.
To help us assist you, we’ll ask you to send us clear photos (PDF or JPG) of the following:
Wiring inside the installed tado° device with all terminals visible. We need to clearly see which wire is placed in which terminal block. If you’re installing an Extension Kit, please also include a photo showing the orange jumper position from the back of the Extension Kit.
Wires connected to the terminal block (which then connects to the tado° device), clearly visible inside the boiler. If you’re unsure where to find the terminal block, please consult your boiler manual.
Old devices that were replaced by tado°, clearly showing their make and full model name. If the make and model aren’t visible in the photo, please include them in writing in your reply and send us also a photo of the front of the device.
Wiring inside the device being replaced by tado°, if any (you would have taken this photo during the tado° installation process). We need to clearly see which wire is placed in which terminal block.
Please make sure the power to your heating system is switched OFF before you remove any device covers.
