You need an internet connection to control your heating system with tado°, however you can’t use Wi-Fi to do so. Instead, you need to plug the Internet Bridge directly into the router using an Ethernet cable. The Internet Bridge then connects all tado° devices to the internet.

You need to use Wi-Fi to connect the Smart AC Control to the internet, via a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The device will connect to Wi-Fi directly during installation.
