It is important to verify that your phone’s location settings are configured correctly when using the tado° app on a phone with Android 5 or higher. These settings are essential if you want to use Geofencing on tado°.

In order to check them open the smartphone settings and look for the Location submenu, generally found in the Personal or Privacy section.

If you’re using Android 5-8, please make sure that:

  • the Location is turned on;

  • the Location Mode is set to High Accuracy.

If you’re using Android 9-12, please make sure that:

  • Use location is turned on;

  • the App/Location permission is set to Allow all the time.

  • Use precise location is enabled (for Android 12 only)
