It is important to verify that your phone’s location settings are configured correctly when using the tado° app on a phone with Android. These settings are essential if you want to use Geofencing on tado°.

In order to check them, open the smartphone settings and look for the Location submenu, generally found in the Personal or Privacy section.

If you’re using Android 8, please make sure that:

  • the Location is turned on;

  • the Location Mode is set to High Accuracy.

If you’re using Android 9-12, please make sure that:

  • Use location is turned on;

  • the App/Location permission is set to Allow all the time.

  • Use precise location is enabled (for Android 12 only)
