If the tado° Smart Charging App uses the car's connectivity to control its charging process, it is possible that there is energy loss from the charging station to the car because we get the data from the car and not from the charging station. We see this often, which is why we have also added a disclaimer to the smart charging overview.
From our own tests, we see with Teslas that this varies between 5% and 10% and on online forums we can find cases of over 15%. Hopefully, this gives some more clarity about why you get different data in your Energy Supplier’s overview when compared to the tado° overview.
