It is important to verify that your phone’s location settings are configured correctly when using the tado° app on a phone with Android 4.4 or higher. These settings are essential if you want to use Geofencing on tado°.

In order to check them open the smartphone settings and look for the Location submenu, generally found in the Personal or Privacy section. Here two settings are very important:

  • the Position has to be turned on.
  • the Location Mode/Method has to be either set to battery saving or high accuracy.
