When the Smart AC Control has no Wi-Fi configuration, it’ll show a unique 4-digit code (XXXX) on its display.

When this code appears, please do the following:

  1. Go to Wi-Fi settings on your iOS device.

  2. Scroll down to the section Set up new device. tado° should be recognised as an accessory and be listed here.

  3. Click on tadoXXXX and enter your Wi-Fi credentials.

If you're not able to connect the Smart AC Control to Wi-Fi, please do the following:

  1. Unplug your Smart AC Control from the power supply.

  2. Wait for two minutes and plug it back in to restart the device.

  3. Restart your iOS device.

  4. Go to Wi-Fi settings on your iOS device. Scroll down till you see the section Set up new device.

  5. Select tadoXXXX. The configuration will then be completed in the Apple Home app.

Please note: only the Smart AC Control V3+ is compatible with HomeKit.

If the Smart AC Control was already installed in your tado° Home, no further action is needed.

If you’re installing the Smart AC Control for the first time, you’ll see the wrench symbol on its display and you can continue your installation in the tado° app.
