Just after attaching the Smart Radiator Thermostat head onto the mounting bracket, the device attempts to determine the positions in which the valve is fully open and fully closed. This process is referred to as calibration.
Once successfully calibrated, the device stores the calibration values. If you would like to mount the Smart Radiator Thermostat to a different radiator, the calibration values have to be reset as every radiator valve (even of the same type) has slightly different dimensions.
To reset the calibration values, remove the batteries from the device, wait for 10s and re-insert them. The device reboots and retracts the motor into the housing. Now the device is ready for a new calibration. Simply attach it to a mounting bracket to start the calibration process.
